Double glazing originated in Scotland in the Victorian times as a way to insulate homes from the harsh weather conditions. The idea spread to the USA and became popular in the 1930s. It wasn’t until the 1970s that double glazing started to take off in the rest of the UK.

We recently completed a full window installation for a home in Stoke On Trent. The family were delighted with the result. They chose our classic white uPVC bay windows and French Doors to enhance their home. The attractive bay window style complements this older property. By projecting outwards, bay windows let in more light and also give the illusion of a larger room.

The Chamfered frames create slim sightlines to allow an unobstructed view. These replicate authentic timber windows and with a range of woodgrain finishes fit perfectly into traditional homes. They chose top openers for their windows which allows air flow control without comprising on security. Georgian bars were added to these to match with the traditional style of the home and add a decorative touch.
